A lakeside gem in northwest Idaho, Coeur d’Alene is one of those towns that instantly feels like home. Here, you are embraced with hospitality and beauty. When it comes to weddings in Coeur d’Alene, the options are oftentimes intimate and best hosted outdoors if the weather allows — be it a mountainside ceremony, waterfront wedding (next to the lake or one of the other gorgeous lakes in northern Idaho), or a celebration at the resort.

Where to get married in Coeur d’Alene
Coeur d’Alene Resort
Waterfront. Lots of possibilities. On-site lodging.
One of the most popular ways to celebrate in the area is a Coeur d’Alene resort wedding and for good reason. Owned by the four-star golf and spa resort (and with those amenities on-site for you), there are five venue options just in this one location. Their indoor/outdoor lakefront venue is a favorite, followed by the Front Plaza lawn and Lakeview Terrace. Notably, they also have lake cruise weddings (on a boat, yes!) and ballroom spaces for larger gatherings. Weddings here are convenient for big guest lists or destination weddings thanks to the on-site accommodations. And you can easily return each year for your anniversary if you choose.
Elk Point Event Venue
Simple. Waterfront. Warm.
Sitting on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene, Elk Point offers the quintessential views of the area. Here, a lakeside ceremony is suggested with chairs lined up to perfectly face the sparkling lake. For a rain backup, we’ve seen the placement of an insulated white tent on the property. Of course, there’s also the lodge, a rugged and warm venue. They have experience with 500+ events and previously hosted Disney’s former VP of Operations.
The Farmhouse on Green Bluff
Well-designed. Private. Beautiful.
An hour from Coeur d’Alene, but worth the (stunning) drive, the Farmhouse on Green Bluff has indoor and outdoor options with a vaulted white barn and views of Mt. Spokane. Exclusive to just one couple per weekend, the entire property would be yours, providing seclusion and giving your vendors ample time to decorate, take photos, clean up, etc. The vendor options are wide open with no exclusivity, meaning you can bring in the food truck, caterer, bartender or whoever you choose (a DJ from their approved list is required, however). Farmhouse tables and chairs are also included, so you may not even need extra rentals. Truly, it’s a blank canvas.
Historic Davenport Hotel
Lavish. Ornate. Impressive.
Just across the border in Spokane, the Davenport Hotel is an iconic setting with a century of history. Here, “ballroom wedding” takes on another definition with a lavish, Bridgerton-esque feel. Stay on-site, celebrate, indulge yourself with the hotel spa, and then fly home from the Spokane airport just 15 minutes away. Book multiple rooms to enjoy the transition from cocktail hour to after party, each with its own style and aesthetic.
The Cabin on Hayden Lake
Intimate. Secluded. Outdoors.
Take your wedding to the lake and rent this Airbnb (and its property) for a waterside ceremony. Imagine the sprawling lawn with your favorite people, bright flowers and the sun glinting off the water. Plus, you can use the Airbnb itself to get ready — saving time on transportation from hotel to the ceremony site.
Greenhouse on Harvard
Unique. Made for weddings. Great views.
Just past the Idaho/Washington border is this unique and secluded wedding venue, a must-see. Invite up to 200 guests and use their two suites to stay overnight as a couple if needed. The vintage double-decker bus adds character, restored from 1964 to serve as the most unique photobooth possible (or DJ stand or bouquet toss location). Tables, benches, and chairs are all included. You’ll have just what you need, and your guests will easily park and join in on the celebrations.

From a recent review in CDA
“She NAILED the arrangements and bouquets. EVERYONE wanted to know who did the flowers because they were just so beautiful.”
“I cannot say enough amazing things about Glenna. I really let her take the reins on our arrangements because I trusted her and I knew she had a really good eye. And I think that made for an even better experience and end-product overall. She was extremely communicative throughout the whole process, and I would without hesitation recommend Glenna to anyone and everyone, because I could not have been more pleased with her work.”
